노란 장미

여기 이 노란 장미는

어제 그 소년이 내게 준 것이다

오늘 그 장미를 가지고

그 소년의 무덤으로 간다

보라! 아직도 꽃잎에 맺혀 있는

이슬 방울을

오늘은 이것도 눈물이다

어제는 이슬 방울이던 것이..

Some say love, it is a river    사랑은 부드러운 갈대마저 꺾어 버리는
that drowns the tender reed.  강물 이라고 사람들은 말 하기도 하죠.
Some say love, it is a razor    사랑을 일러 당신 영혼을 피 흘리게 만들
that leaves your soul to bleed.  그런 날카로운 칼 이라고 말하구요
Some say love,    또 다른 사람들은 사랑 이란
it is a hunger,    끝도 없는 고통을 수반하는
an endless aching need.  배고픔과도 같다고 하죠
I say love, it is a flower,   하지만 난 사랑이란 꽃과도 같은거라고

and the sould afraid of dyin'    그리고 사랑 이란 죽음을 두려워 한다면
that never learns to live.     제대로 살아갈 수 없는 영혼과도 같은거죠

When the night has been too lonely   밤이 너무 외롭다고 느껴 질때
and the road has been to long,   가야할 길이 아직도 많이 남았다고 느껴 질때
and you think that love is only   그럴때면 당신은 사랑 이란
for the lucky    운 좋은 사람들 이나 강한 사람들에게나 오는
and the strong,   그런것이라 생각 하겠죠
just remember in the winter   하지만 이것만 기억 하세요 겨울에도
far beneath the winter snows   그 차가운 눈 저 아래엔
lies the seed that with the sun's love   태양의 사랑과 따뜻함을 품고서
in the spring becomes the rose. 봄이되면 장미로 피어날 그런 씨앗이 숨어있다는 것을요
