그리스의 미코노스섬에 있는 옛 풍차들

불어 타이틀로 "내 마음의 풍차들" (Les Moulins De Mon Coeur), 영어로는 "네 마음의 풍차들" (Windmills of Your Mind)로 알려진 이곡은 Michel Legrand이 Alan Bergman, Marilyn Bergman과 함께 1968년 Thomas Crown Affair라는 영화의 주제곡으로 작사, 작곡하여 그해 아카데미 최우수 주제곡상을 받은 것이다. 이노래의 가사는 영화 스토리와는 크게 연관이 없는 것으로 사랑이 끝난후 되씹어보는 아픈마음과 애틋함을 마치도 끝없이 돌고도는 나선의 회로로 비유한다.

미쉘 르그랭이 재즈싱어인 지넷트 레노 (Ginette Reno)와 1986년 카나다 몬트리얼에서 열렸던 재즈패스티벌에서 부른것이다. 배경 반주 밴드는 Denny Christianson의 빅밴드이다. 미쉘 르그랭이 이곡을 퍼폼할때는 Les Moulins De Mon Coeur로 제시한다.

1968년 영화 토마스 크라운 어페어의 오리지날 레코딩은 여기서 들어보는 Noel Harrison (Rex Harrison의 아들)이 불렀다. 이영화에서 Windmills of Your Mind로 타이틀이 제시되었다. 이영화에는 요절한, "쿨"의 매력을 흠뻑 가졌던, 멋있는 스티브 맥퀸이 페이 더너웨이와 출연한다.

1999년 다시 리메이크된 이 영화에서도 같은 주제곡을 사용한다. 여기서는 영국의 팝싱어인 스팅이 부른것을 썼다. 1999년 편에는 제임스 본드역의 피어스 브로스넌이 르네 누소와 출연한다.

불어가사는 영어가사와 의미가 비슷하나 더 가슴메어지는 끝남의 슬픔을 전해준다.
