1955년 작품인 慕情 (Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing)은 우리 고교 시절에 본 로망스 영화중에서 우리를 많이 울린 영화. 한국전쟁이 일부 배경이였고 이 전쟁때문에 비극으로 끝나는 사랑 이야기. Jennifer Jones와 William Holden의 조용한 사랑 이야기에 흠뻑 빠져 있었던 기억이 난다. William Holden역의 남자주인공이 보낸 마지막 편지의 한구절, "We have not missed, you and I, the many splendored thing."이 기억속에서 맴돈다. Paul Francis Webster가 작사하고 Sammy Fain이 작곡한 이곡은 이영화에서 chorus로 들려준다. 이노래 또한 그당시 배우지 않은 젊은이는 없을 것이다. 1956년에 Best Song 으로 오스카상을 받았고 The Four Aces, Jerry Vale, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams등이 레코딩 하였다.
