"September Song"은 1938년에 뉴욕인을 주제로 한 뮤지컬 "Knickerbocker Holiday"에서
사랑의 고백을 노래하는 곡으로 Kurt Weill이 작곡하고 Maxwell Anderson이 작사하였다.
그 후 Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan 등이 보컬로 레코딩하고, Artie Shaw의 빅 밴드, Don Byas Quartet,
Art Tatum 등이 악기 중심으로 레코딩하였다. Django Reinhardt는 1947년에 시작해서 4번이나 레코딩하였다.
"September in the Rain"은 1935년에 Harry Warren이 작곡하고 Al Dubin이 작사한 곡이며 1937년에 개봉한 영화
"Melogy for Two"에서 선보였다. Frankie Laine, Dinah Washington 등의 팝 가수에 의해서 유명해지고
많은 재즈가수가 레코딩하였으며 George Shearing, John Lewis, Charlie Parker, Stephane Grappelli 등이
악기 중심으로 레코딩하였다.
