Irene Kral (1932-1978)은 시카고 출신으로 1960~1970년대에 재즈 무대에서 많은 사랑을 받았었던 재즈 발라드 풍의 가수였다. 46세의 젊은 나이에 breast cancer로 세상을 떴다. 그녀는 Carmen McRae의 영향을 받은 조용하고 은밀한 풍의 노래로 우리의 마음을 포근하게 해 준다. 1995년에 영화 "매디손 카운티의 다리"에 Clint Eastwood가 Irene Kral의 노래 "This Is Always"와 "It's A Wonderful World"를 삽입하여 새로운 fan이 많이 생겼다. ~ 霧 城 ~
