He said he had to work, so I went to the show alone.
They turned down the lights and turned the projector on.
And just as the news of the world started to begin,
I saw my darling and my best friend walking in.

Although I was sitting right there they didn'n see me.
And so they both sat right down in the front of me.
And when he kissed her lips then I almost died.
And in the middle of the colour cartoon I started to cry.

그는 말했지 그는 일해야 한다고 해서 나 혼자서 영화를 보러갔지

그리고 세계뉴스가 시작되었을 때
나는 나의 애인과 나의 제일 친한 친구가 함께 걸어 들어오는 것을 보았지

나는 자리에 앉아있었지만
그들은 나를 보지 못했지 그래서 그들은 내 좌석 바로 앞에 앉은 거였어
그는 그녀에게 키스를 했지 거의 지켜보는 내가 숨이 막힐 정도로 말이야 
영화가 상영되는 동안 나는 울기시작했어

그리고 엄마는 내 눈물을 본 거야. 그리곤 "무슨일이냐"고 물어보셨지
나는 엄마에게 거짓말을 말하지는 못하고
이렇게 대답했지 "슬픈영화는 나를 울려요"
